Today's Episode Brought To You By Uncle Paul

How to Make Uncle Paul's Holiday Rice Crispie Treats
WARNING:  The following treat tutorial may cause you to start jonesin' for some rice crispie treats.  There.  You've been warned.

First, follow the directions on the pre-packaged crispie treat box to prepare the treats.  Okay, try to follow the directions but don't melt the marshmallow and butter enough cause the kid can't wait...and don't bother waiting for the mixture to cool before placing it in the form cause the kid doesn't care what this blob of sweet goo is going to look like.  Don't take any pictures because you are so anxious about getting this thing right...does the marshmallow look like the consistency of milk?  Do I add the marshmallow to the cereal or the cereal to the marshmallow?  Where is Uncle Paul when you need him, he makes these jokers at least twice a week.  Take a deep breath.  None of this matters to the three year old who is crushing the cereal while you are sweating the small stuff.

Next, use the candies provided to "decorate" your "house".  Don't bother trying to form doors or other such house-like adornments, it truly doesn't matter.

Feel proud of your finished product.

Express that you want a picture of just the fabulous treat.

Aaaahhhhhh.  That's it.

Even if you choose to sample your treat while creating your treat, be sure to eat a big hunk the finished product.

Be sure to look for fallen candy.  Look like a break dancer from the eighties.

arf arf, rubble rubble rubble
Be sure to save some for Daddy or you will be in real trouble.

Julie Works The Camera

A quiet breakfast was interrupted by the Joe paparazzi.  Julie worked it as best as a two year old can.

What?  Who's that?  What's going on?

Oh, it's just Joe.

I guess he wants to document the craftsmanship of Grandma Loyd's sewing from 10 years ago.

Maybe if I turn my head, he will leave me alone.

Look, I'm trying to eat here.

Rubble, rubble, rubble.

Rubble, rubble, chew, chew

For the LOVE of PETE!

Leave.  Me.  Alone.

That's IT!  I'm telling MOM!

Guess I'm on my own here.
Anybody out there?  Is this thing on?
